Haray kebab is a form of vegetable kebab, made of cottage cheese, spinach, cashe nuts, gram flour, seasoning and spices. Cottage cheese and spinach together gives the kebab a nice green color.

  • Cottage cheese, grated 450 gm
  • Spinach, boiled and blended 900 gm
  • Cardamom powder 2 tsp
  • Cashew nuts 120 gm
  • Coriander leaves, chopped 20 gm
  • All spice 20 gm
  • Ginger paste 45 gm
  • Gram flour (besan), roasted 60 gm
  • Green chillies, chopped 15
  • Mace (javitri) powder 10 gm
  • Oil for deep frying
  • Salt to taste

Cooking Directions

  1. Mix together all ingredients except oil and shape into 1, 1/2 inch round patties.

  2. Heat oil in a frying pan and deep fry.

  3. Garnish with onion rings and serve as a snack or as an accompaniment with a rice and curry dish.
