Ingredients

  • Chickpeas - soak in hot water 1/2 cup
  • Beetroots, boiled and cut in small squares 4
  • Raisins for garnish, soak in hot water 1/2 cup
  • White pepper powdered 1 tsp
  • Sugar 1 tsp
  • Salad oil 1 tbsp
  • White vinegar 1 tbsp
  • Lemons 4
  • Salt to taste

Cooking Directions

  1. Drain the chickpeas and boil in fresh water for 1/2 hour.

  2. Do not overcook. Drain chickpeas.

  3. Combine with all other ingredients and lemon juice and refrigerate.

  4. Roast the raisins on a tawa with a little grease and sprinkle on salad before serving.
