  • Semolina 250 gm
  • Clarified butter 200 gm
  • Sugar 375 gm
  • Water 375 gm
  • Pistachios, almonds for garnishing

Cooking Directions

  1. Heat the clarified butter and fry the semolina in it.

  2. Add sugar and water and cook for 2 minutes till it gets a boil.

  3. Lower the flame and put it on simmer for 2-3 minutes.

  4. Garnish it with pistachios and almonds and serve.

  1. I found that the amount of butter was too much in comparison with the other ingredients. The halwa was way too greasy/oily at the end. I had to actually drain the halwa in a sieve before I could serve it.
