For a fabulous lunch full of good traditional flavors try out spicy leg roast. Its overnight marination penetrates all spices well in the leg which makes the meat more tender and succulant.

  • Mutton leg 1
  • Egg 1
  • Papaya paste 1 cup
  • Yogurt ½ cup
  • All spice powder 1 tsp
  • Cumin powder 1 tsp
  • White pepper 1 tsp
  • Black pepper 1 tbsp (crushed)
  • Gram flour 2 tbsp
  • Ginger garlic paste 2 tbsp
  • Red chili powder 3 tbsp
  • Vinegar 6 tbsp
  • Oil 3 – 4 tbsp
  • Green coriander for garnish
  • Food color 1 pinch
  • Salt to taste

Cooking Directions

  1. Cut mutton leg with knife.

  2. Now marinate it with vinegar and salt and leave it for 10 – 15 minutes.

  3. In a mixing bowl mix oil, gram flour, white pepper, egg, black pepper crushed, all spice powder, cumin powder, red chili powder, papaya paste, food color and ginger garlic paste.

  4. Now coat meat with this batter and leave it overnight.

  5. Put it in steamer and steam it for 25 – 30 minutes.

  6. Then place it in pre heat oven on 200c for 25 – 30 minutes.

  7. In between baking grease it from butter or oil.

  8. When its changes its color dish it out and garnish it with green coriander.
