Vegetable pakoras is a crispy and spicy snack served usually hot. It is served with variety of dips and sauces. It is all time favorite snacks for tea times.

Ingredients

  • Carrots 1 cup (shredded)
  • Cauliflower 1 (shredded)
  • Potatoes 2 medium (boiled and finger shaped cut)
  • Egg 1
  • Green chilies 3 (finely cut)
  • Gram flour 1 cup
  • Green coriander ½ bunch (chopped)
  • Yogurt 1 tsp
  • Red chili 1 tsp (crushed)
  • White cumin 1 tsp (crushed)
  • Oil 1 litre
  • Salt to taste

Cooking Directions

  1. In a bowl add the gram flour, egg, yogurt, coriander, red chili powder, green chilies, white cumin powder and salt.

  2. Form a smooth paste from the mixture by adding water as much required.

  3. Mix the vegetables in the mixture.

  4. Heat oil in a wok.

  5. Deep fry the pakoras till they turn golden brown.

  6. Serve hot with ketchup or chutney.
