Ingredients

  • Milk 2 cups
  • Sugar ½ cup
  • Vanilla custard powder 2 tbsp
  • Bread 6 slices
  • Cream ½ cup
  • pistachios 1 tbsp
  • Glace cherries 1 tbsp
  • water ¼ cup
  • Ghee ½ cup

Cooking Directions

  1. Cut slices of bread into triangles and fry in ghee till light brown.

  2. After frying put n absorbent paper.

  3. In another pan boil milk, sugar and water and stir until sugar dissolves.

  4. When milk comes to a boil, drop the fried bread and allow soaking up the milk.

  5. Remove the bread and place in a serving dish.

  6. Make a thin paste of custard powder, the rest of the sugar and milk and cook for 3 minutes.

  7. Pour over the bread and decorate with cream cherries and pistachios.

  8. Serve chilled.
