Chicken Tikka - Are you a chicken tikka lover and dont have a BBQ grill or even a oven at home? Dont worry, Zubeida Tariq has made it really easy for us. Chicken is not only given the seasoning of tikka but also given the taste and texture of tikka right on your regular stove.

  • Chicken 1,1/2 kg, cut in 14 pieces
  • Ginger/ garlic paste 1 tbsp
  • Red chillies 1 tbsp, powdered
  • Cumin seeds 1 tsp, roasted and powdered
  • Black pepper 1 tsp, crushed
  • Yellow food color pinch
  • White vinegar 1/2 cup
  • Lemons 4
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil 1 cup

Cooking Directions

  1. Wash the chicken and drain in a colander.

  2. Combine all ingredients except oil in a large bowl and marinate chicken.

  3. Pour the juice of 3 lemons over the chicken and leave for half hour.

  4. Heat a large greased pan and roast the chicken, turning to cook all sides, till all liquid dries.

  5. Just before serving thread the chicken on skewers and roast on gas flame, brush on a little oil and lemon juice.

  6. Serve with hot puri or paratha.

  7. Note:- The quantity of red chillies and black pepper may be reduced.
