Chutney sandwiches can be prepared quickly and easily from the ingredients that you probably have in your kitchen right now. Chutney sandwiches are perfect snack for Iftar, picnic, parties and even lunch boxes.

  • White bread or Sandwich bread 8 slices
  • Mint Chutney 1/2 cup
  • Butter as required
  • Cucumber 1-2 medium (sliced)
  • Cheese slices 4
  • Salt to taste

Cooking Directions

  1. Apply a generous amount of soft butter on one side of each bread slice.

  2. Now generously apply mint chutney over 4 buttered bread slices.

  3. Arrange sliced cucumber over them.

  4. Sprinkle some salt over cucumbers.

  5. Place a slice of cheese.

  6. Now generously drizzle or spread chutney over cheese.

  7. Top them with other 4 buttered bread slices.

  8. Chutney sandwiches are ready to serve.

  9. (You can serve chutney sandwich at room temperature or cold)

  10. For Chutney: Grind together 1 bunch coriander, half bunch mint, 8-10 green chilies, juice of 2 lemon, 1/2 tsp crunched roasted cumin and salt to taste. (Reduce the amount of green chilies and lemon, if you want it mild hot)
