Ingredients

  • Powdered sugar 1 cup
  • Almond flour ¾ cup
  • Egg whites 2 large (at room temperature)
  • Cream of tartar a pinch
  • Superfine sugar ¼ cup
  • Vanilla extract ½ tsp

Cooking Directions

  1. Add confectioners' sugar and almond flour into food processor and sift them twice.

  2. Take egg whites and beat with mixer on medium speed till frothy.

  3. Add cream of tartar beat more till soft peaks form.

  4. Now add superfine sugar and beat slightly at low speed for about 3-4 minutes.

  5. Add vanilla extract mix and fill pastry bag with this mixture and pipe on lined parchment paper on baking tray.

  6. Rest for 30-45 minutes at room temperature, meanwhile pre heat oven to 375 degree.

  7. Reduce the oven temperature to 325 degrees and bake 1 batch at a time for about 10 minutes.

  8. After each batch increase temperature to 375 degree then reduce to 325 and bake your macaroons.

  9. Let them cool at room temperature and spoon jam or butter cream and make sandwich and serve.

  10. Note: You can wrap in plastic and freeze up to 2 -3 months and take out 30 minutes before serving.
