This mango chutney is very authentic recipe in India, Pakistan. In India people make this chutney all year long since raw mangoes are available 365 days a year. An unusually yummy blend of bitter, sweet and sour ingredients. The Raw mango is transformed into a delicious chutney it goes well with rice and chapati.

  • Raw mango 1
  • Green chillies 4
  • Fresh grated coconut 1 cup
  • Salt to taste
  • Water as required
  • Cooking oil 1 tbsp
  • Mustard seeds 1/2 tsp
  • Asafetida a pinch

Cooking Directions

  1. Wash & peel raw mangoes.

  2. Cut into half and remove the centre seed. Cut the remaining into thin pieces.

  3. Place raw mangoes in a blender then add grated fresh coconut, green chillies, salt and water (as required), blend it well.

  4. Prepare the tadka; heat oil in a pan add mustard seeds and asafetida, roast it until will become fragrant.

  5. Stir the tadka into the chutney, serve with rice.
