Gram flour Halwa is quite easy to prepare and requires very little preparation. It is quite rich as it is made in pure ghee. This is a very delicious Indian dessert. Recipe by chef Munawar.

  • Gram Flour (besan) 1 cup
  • Sugar 1.5 cup
  • Ghee 1 cup
  • Green cardamoms 2
  • Cinnamon Sticks 2
  • Almonds 5
  • Raisins 1 tbsp
  • Kewra essence few drop’s

Cooking Directions

  1. Take a medium size cooking pot, put it on medium heat, and put ghee in it

  2. Let the ghee heat up, and then put cardamoms, cinnamon, raisins, chopped almonds, and stir them for couple of minutes.

  3. Now add sugar to it, stir it, add 1 cup of water, stir it till the sugar melts into the water and ghee.

  4. Now add a few drops of kewra essence in to the sugar syrup, followed by the gram flour and stir it with wooden spoon.

  5. Keep stirring till the flour forms a fine smooth texture.

  6. Remove it from heat, serve it hot.
