Saffron Chicken Wings is my family favorite recipe that is very simple. Wings get a super hit taste after baking when the coat in blend of saffron and seasoning. Must try this recipe.

  • Whole chicken wings 12 (with skin)
  • Butter 4 tbsp
  • Brewed saffron 1 tbsp
  • Fresh lemon juice 2 tbsp
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooking spray

Cooking Directions

  1. Wash and pat dry wings.

  2. Place wings on steamer basket and stream for 10 minutes. Let them cool at room temperature.

  3. Line a butter pepper/parchment pepper on cookies sheet and place wire stand (wire stand on which we place baking pan in oven) on cookies sheet. There should be gap in between sheet and wire stand.

  4. Place chicken wings on stand and lightly spray with oil and bake at 180 degree C for 35 to 45 minutes. Make sure to flip the side after half time.

  5. In the mean time melt butter with brewed saffron.

  6. Add lemon juice and season with salt and pepper.

  7. Add hot wings in mixture and toss to coat eventually. Serve immediately.

  8. How brewed saffron: Add ground saffron in a bowl and pour hot water over it. Mix nicely. Brewed saffron is ready to use.
