Kafta's sapid recipe with parsely, bread, paprika, onion and spices. Its served with garlic sauce which recipe is also given along. Make on Eid day and serve to family or guests.

Ingredients

  • Beef or lamb mince ½ kg
  • Parsley 1 cup (chopped)
  • Onion 1 (finely chopped)
  • Bread slice 2
  • Mix spices ½ tsp
  • Paprika powder ¼ tsp
  • Cinnamon powder ¼ tsp
  • Salt & pepper as taste
  • For Chip’s:
  • Onion 2 big slices
  • Potatoes chip 1 kg
  • Lemon juice 2 tbsp
  • Water 4 tbsp
  • Worcestershire sauce 2 tbsp
  • Mix spices ¼ tsp
  • Salt and pepper as taste
  • Oil for frying 4 tbsp
  • For Garlic Sauce:
  • Garlic bulb paste 1
  • Vegetable oil ½ cup
  • Mayonnaise 3 tbsp
  • Lemon juice 1 squeezed
  • Salt and pepper as taste

Cooking Directions

  1. Mix mince with parsley, onion, bread, spices, paprika, cinnamon, salt & pepper.

  2. Divide & shape into small sausages.

  3. Deep fry the chip’s & keep on kitchen paper to absorb the extra oil.

  4. Heat 2 tbsp oil in a big pan or wok, fry the kafta, few at a time, remove & keep warm.

  5. Heat the rest oil using the same pan & fry the onion slices till caramelized & brown on the edges, add the water, lemon juice, spices, salt and pepper & boil for 1 minute.

  6. Then add the kafta & chip’s.

  7. Serve with Pita bread, salad & garlic sauce.

  8. For Garlic Sauce:

  9. Put the garlic paste in a bowl, add salt & lemon juice, add a little oil at a time & mix with spoon.

  10. Until the oil stop being absorbed.

  11. Keep adding the oil until it run out.

  12. Now add the mayonnaise & mix.

  13. Put in a jar & refrigerate.
