Ingredients

  • Medium capsicums 6
  • Medium potatoes (boiled and diced) 6
  • Onion (chopped) 1
  • Oil as needed
  • Salt to taste
  • Grind:
  • Red tomatoes 1/2 kg
  • Ginger 1" piece
  • Medium onion 1
  • Turmeric powder 1 tsp
  • Coriander and chilli powder 1 tsp each
  • Garam masala 1 tsp
  • Sugar 1 tbsp

Cooking Directions

  1. Cut the tops off the capsicums.

  2. Heat 1 1/2 tsps. oil and fry 1 chopped onion in it till golden.

  3. Then add diced potatoes and salt.

  4. When cooked, remove from flame and stuff the potato mixture into the capsicums and shallow fry them till almost tender.

  5. Heat 3 tbsps. oil and fry the ground masala till well blended and creamy.

  6. Add hot water and cook for a few minutes. Add sugar and salt.

  7. Arrange capsicums neatly in the gravy and simmer till they are cooked.
