Ingredients

  • Prawns (cleaned and de-veined) 1 kg
  • Large sliced onions 2
  • Ginger 2" piece
  • Onions (ground to a paste) 2
  • Oil for frying
  • Cardamoms (powder, after removing skin) 10
  • Turmeric powder 1 tsp
  • Cloves 8
  • Stick cinnamon 1
  • Sugar 1 tbsp
  • Coconut milk 2 cups
  • Jaggery 2 tbsps
  • Salt to taste

Cooking Directions

  1. Fry the prawns and keep aside.

  2. Fry the sliced onions, add the ground paste of ginger

  3. and onion and fry for a few minutes.

  4. Add the cardamom powder, turmeric powder,

  5. crushed cloves, cinnamon and fry for a few more minutes.

  6. Add the sugar, coconut milk, jaggery and salt to taste.

  7. Add the fried prawns and cook.
