  • Mutton 750 gm
  • Raw papaya 1 tbsp heaped
  • Yogurt 1 cup
  • Tomato paste 2 tbsp
  • Whole spices mixed 1 tbsp
  • Brown onion ½ cup (crushed)
  • Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
  • Salt 1 ½ tsp
  • Chili powder 2 tsp heaped
  • Turmeric ½ tsp
  • White cumin ½ tsp (roasted and crushed)
  • Allspice 1 tsp
  • Orange color pinch
  • Mint leaves ½ cup (chopped)
  • Curry leaves handful
  • Green chilies 6
  • Oil ½ cup

Cooking Directions

  1. Marinate mutton with raw papaya, yogurt, tomato paste, whole spices mixed, brown onion, ginger garlic paste, salt, chili powder, turmeric, white cumin, allspice, orange color and mint leaves for 4 hours.

  2. Heat oil add green chilies and curry leaves and slightly fry.

  3. Add marinated mutton, cover and cook for 20 minutes.

  4. If required add water.

  5. Cook until done, serve with nan.
