Ingredients

  • Pastry dough
  • Fine flour (maida) 200g
  • Castor sugar 3 tbsp
  • Butter 100g
  • Egg 1
  • Lemon curd:
  • Eggs 4
  • Butter (small pack) 100g
  • 2 Lemon's juice
  • Sugar 6 oz

Cooking Directions

  1. To Make Pastry Dough: Put the butter at room temperature for a while so it softens.

  2. Add plain flour in a bowl, add butter in it.

  3. Mix them well with hands, so they assume crumb shape.

  4. Now, beat an egg.

  5. Add the egg slowly in the egg-butter mix so it gives them enough coherence.

  6. Do not make the dough liquidy or runny.

  7. Now wrap it in plastic foil & keep in fridge for 30 minutes.

  8. After that, take a tart pan, spread the dough in it.

  9. Prick the dough with a fork in the center.

  10. And press firmly the sides of the dough with the fork.

  11. Now bake the dough for 20 minutes at 180 degrees.

  12. To Make Lemon Curd: Add all eggs in a pan & beat them well.

  13. Add lemon juice, sugar & butter in the above pan.

  14. Turn the flame on, & cook on slow heat.

  15. Keep stirring to make sure lumps don't form.

  16. Pour it on the baked pastry, spread evenly.

  17. Place a lemon slice in middle and on top of it place a cherry.
