Ingredients

  • Minced meat 1/4 kg
  • Potatoes 1/2 kg
  • Pepper 1/4 tsp
  • Green coriander 1/2 bunch
  • Eggs 2
  • Corn flour 1 to 1, 1/2 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil as needed
  • Breadcrumbs as required
  • Grind Together:
  • Spring onions 4
  • Green chillies 2
  • Cloves of garlic 4
  • Ginger 1/2" piece
  • Coriander 1 tsp

Cooking Directions

  1. Boil, peel and mash the potatoes.

  2. Add 1/2 tsp salt, pepper and cornflour to it. Keep aside.

  3. Chop green coriander leaves.

  4. Heat 3 tbsp oil and fry the ground paste till golden.

  5. Add the minced meat and salt if needed and cook till uniformly brown.

  6. Add enough water to make the meat tender and completely mixed with the spices.

  7. Keep aside to cool.

  8. Make small balls of the mashed potatoes and flatten them with the palm one at a time.

  9. Put a little of the cooked meat in the center of each.

  10. Dip in very well beaten egg, press in breadcrumbs and lightly fry till uniformly brown.

  2. good recipe, but you mention of adding cornflour to the potato mixture, yet, in your ingredient list, there is no mention of cornflour. For a person who is totally new to this type of cooking, its a nightmare trying to guess how much cornflour to add. It could ruin the dish altogether.Shame really, otherwise quite a good recipe.
