Chargha is very much famous among Lahoris and is a likable dish all over Pakistan. This recipe is excellent if you plan to steam chargha at your home. It will confer you with resturant like chicken so must endeavor it!

  • Whole chicken 1-1/3 kg
  • Lemons 2 – 3
  • Lettuce leaves 3 – 4
  • Masala 1 tbsp
  • Gram flour 1-1/2 tbsp (roasted)
  • Chat masala 5 – 6 tbsp
  • Oil for deep frying

Cooking Directions

  1. In a mixing bowl add lemon juice, masala and gram flour, mix it properly and prepare marinating paste.

  2. Now marinate chicken and set aside for 1 – 2 hour’s.

  3. Then steam it in steamer for 25 – 30 minutes and takeout.

  4. Now in a skillet put oil and deep fry the steamed chicken.

  5. After this garnished chat masala, lettuce leaves and lemon slices and serve.

  6. Chargha fry is ready.
