First prick the brinjal with a fork.
Then roast it for 1 hour in the oven or over the hot plate.
Remove the skin and then mash it.
Heat oil in a wok and fry one large onion till golden brown.
Then add cumin, chili, turmeric, salt and garlic paste and fry.
Then add mashed brinjal and fry it well too, on low flame till well done.
Then add finely chopped onions.
Mix well, then add green chillies, mint and drizzle lemon juice over it.
Serve hot with chapatis.
