  • Flour (maida) 1 lb
  • Sesame (til) seeds 2 tbsp
  • Celery seeds 2 tsp
  • Caraway seeds 2 tsp
  • Coarsely ground peppercorns 2 tsp
  • Onion (kalonji) seeds 2 tsp
  • Ghee
  • Salt to taste
  • Sugar to taste

Cooking Directions

  1. Sieve the flour and mix all the ingredients into it.

  2. Add enough warm water to knead to stiff dough.

  3. Rollout into tin round puris.

  4. Heat ghee in a kerai and deep fry on both sides until crisp and golden brown.
