Dil Bahra Meetha is so sweet and mouth watering Pakistani desert. You can make it at home with very less effort and enjoy a great taste and texture. Rich desert based on semolina, nuts, sugar, gram flour and milk. Best to serve on special occasions like Eid, Ramadan or any happy event.

Ingredients

  • Milk powder 1 cup
  • Semolina (sooji) 1 cup
  • Gram flour (besan) 2 cup
  • Sugar 1/2 kg
  • Ghee 250 gms
  • Pistachios 250 gms
  • Almonds (badam) 125 gms
  • Raisins (kishmish) 125 gms
  • Coconut 1 cup
  • Saffron 1/2 tsp
  • Water 1 cup

Cooking Directions

  1. Heat half of the ghee in a pan and saute` gram flour in it.

  2. Cook gram flour till golden brown.

  3. Then in the remaining oil fry semolina till golden brown.

  4. Now make sugar syrup by boiling sugar and water in a pan, cook till thick sugar syrup is formed.

  5. Now combine fried semolina, gram flour, milk powder, coconut and sugar syrup.

  6. Mix all the ingredients well.

  7. Grease the deep dish and spread the mixture in it.

  8. Garnish with dry fruits, saffron and sugar syrup on surface.

  9. Leave it on room temperature to get it set properly and the cut in to pieces.

  10. Tasty dil bahar meetha is ready.
