This is a very hit recipe of christmas with some nutty and cherry sweet taste, Bake these tart for your christmas party and serve everyone.

  • Butter 200 gm
  • Caster sugar 100 gm
  • Egg 1
  • Flour 300 gm
  • Vanilla essence 1 tsp
  • For Filling:
  • Raisins 2 tbsp
  • Orange peel 2 tbsp
  • Almonds 2 tbsp (chopped)
  • Red cherries 2 tbsp (glazed)
  • Green cherries 2 tbsp (glazed)
  • Currants 2 tbsp
  • Walnuts 1 tbsp
  • Cinnamon ¼ tsp
  • Eggs 2
  • Jam 4 tbsp
  • Pistachio as required (crushed)

Cooking Directions

  1. For Base: Beat butter well with caster sugar and beat till fluffy.

  2. Add in egg, fold in flour, put mixture on the table and knead with a soft hand to form into a dough.

  3. Sprinkle flour on table and roll the dough.

  4. Cut with a large size of pastry cutter, keep putting in a tart tray.

  5. For Filling: In a bowl mix all the ingredients raisins, orange peel, almonds, red cherries, green cherries, currants, walnuts, cinnamon and eggs together in a bowl.

  6. Put it in an empty tart dish.

  7. A tablespoon in each and bake on 150 degree C for 30 minutes.

  8. After it is baked, dip the edges of the tart in jam then roll in crushed pistachio.
