Ingredients

  • Skinless firm white fish slices or pieces well washed 500 g
  • Garlic Finely Sliced 1 tbsp
  • Ginger Juliennes 1 tbsp
  • Green Chillies slit 4
  • Onions finely sliced 1 medium
  • Red chilli powder 1 tsp
  • Turmeric powder tsps
  • Raw mango sliced or Tomato chopped 1 small
  • water 2 cups
  • Curry Leaves 1 springs
  • Oil 2 tbsps
  • Salt to taste

Cooking Directions

  1. Heat the oil in a heavy bottomed pan till hot.

  2. Add the garlic, ginger, green chillies and onions.

  3. Saute for about 4 minutes.

  4. Add the turmeric powder, red chilli powder, curry leaves and salt.

  5. Saute briefly. Add the water and raw mango slices/ chopped tomato.

  6. Allow it to boil. Drop in the fish and mix gently.

  7. Cover and cook on low for about 10 minutes or till the fish is cooked and the gravy is semi-dry.
