  • Rice 1/2 (boiled) kg
  • Chicken 1 kg (16 pieces)
  • Chick peas (boiled) 2 cup
  • Spring onion (chopped) 1/2 cup
  • Onion (chopped) 1
  • Pomegranate seed 1 tbsp
  • Green chillies 10
  • Mint leaves 1/4 bunch
  • Coriander leaves 1/2 bunch
  • Tomatoes (chopped) 3
  • Ginger garlic paste 2 tbsp
  • Coriander seeds 1 tbsp
  • Red pepper 1 tbsp
  • Salt 1/2 tsp or to taste

Cooking Directions

  1. Heat oil fry sliced onion till golden brown.

  2. Add ginger garlic paste, crushed red chillies, salt, coriander seed and crushed cumin seed.

  3. Put 1/2 cup water fry well add chicken fry more. 

  4. Add 1/2 cup more water and cover lid cook till chicken tender.

  5. When chicken done add green coriander leaves, mint leaves, green chillies, spring onions and tomatoes remove from stove.

  6. For Layer:Boil rice with 2 tbs salt and whole spices till 3/4 done.

  7. Drain and keep aside.

  8. In another pan put half layer of boiled rice, and a layer of cooked chicken then layer of chick peas and rest of boiled rice.

  9. Cover well and give steam for 15 minutes.

  10. Serve hot with raita and salad.
