  • Tamarind paste ½ cup
  • Dry coriander 1 tsp
  • Black onion seed ½ tsp
  • Aniseed ½ tsp
  • Mustard seed ½ tsp
  • Fenugreek seed 1/3 tsp
  • Red chili paste 2 tbsp
  • Dried mango powder 2 tbsp
  • Oil 4 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh coriander or fresh chili for garnishing

Cooking Directions

  1. In a frying pan put black onion seed, aniseed, whole coriander, mustard seeds, fenugreek seeds and slightly sauté and grind it.

  2. Transfer it in a pan and add oil, onion, tamarind paste, red chili paste, dried mango powder, salt and cook for a short while.

  3. Add pre-cooked potatoes in it and cook until the spice mixture turns thick.

  4. Garnish with green chilies, and coriander.

  5. Dish is ready to serve.
