Puri - This crispy deep fried bread is considered to be the fancy flat bread of Sub-Continent. Puri is the ultimate companion of choley, tarkari, aloo ki bhaji and semolina halwa.

Ingredients

  • ALl purpose flour 2 cup
  • Salt pinch
  • Water as required
  • Ghee for frying

Cooking Directions

  1. Knead flour into dough by adding water and mixing properly.

  2. When the dough is ready, apply a little oil on it to keep it soft.

  3. Leave the dough to set properly for half an hour.

  4. Make small balls of the dough and spread with the rolling pin.

  5. Apply water on hands if dough is sticky.

  6. Deep fry till it becomes light golden.

  7. It would take not more than few seconds. So handle carefully otherwise puri will become crisper.

  8. Serve hot with terkari, bhujia, halwa or your choice of curry.
