Shrimp easily stir-fried in a tangy Thai garlic sauce and it takes only 30 minutes. Salty-sweet, garlicky, and a little spicy, it's the perfect dish to serve on any night of the week. Also beautiful enough to serve at a party as an appetizer or finger food (see serving tips below). Goes nice with rice, or crusty French bread. Even your kids will go wild for these shrimp (just reduce the chili content).Recipe by Chef Gulzar. ENJOY!

Ingredients

  • For Crispy Prawns:
  • Prawns 1/2 kg
  • Fine Flour 2 tbsp
  • Lemon Juice 1-2 tbsp
  • Oil for deep frying
  • Salt to taste
  • For thick curry:
  • Onion 1
  • Red Chili Slices 4-5
  • Green Chilies 5-6
  • Crushed Garlic 8-10
  • Crushed Black pepper 1 tsp
  • Crushed Ginger 1 tbsp
  • Brown Sugar 1/2 tsp
  • Oyster Sauce 2 tbsp
  • Soya Sauce 2 tbsp
  • Oil 3-4 tbsp
  • Salt to taste

Cooking Directions

  1. Marinate the washed prawns with lemon juice and salt.

  2. Then add fine flour and egg white, mix it well and deep fry.

  3. Strain out on absorbent paper.

  4. Heat oil in a pan and sauté onion.

  5. Then add chopped garlic and crushed ginger and fry it.

  6. Then add green chilies, red chilies, crushed black pepper, oyster sauce, brown sugar, soya sauce and salt and mix it well and cook.

  7. In the end add fried prawns, stir and serve.
