Mango Curry - This mango curry is prepared with raw mangoes and coconut milk. Coconut milk soothes down the sourness of raw mangoes and makes a richer curry. Serve mango curry with fried fish and steamed rice.

Ingredients

  • Raw mangoes (cubed) 5
  • Sugar 10 tbsp
  • Red chili powder 1 tsp
  • Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
  • Tomatoes 1 large
  • Onions 1 large
  • Curry leaves a few
  • Coconut milk 2 cup

Cooking Directions

  1. Cook the raw mangoes in the pressure cooker for 5-7 min.

  2. Strain the water and then in a pan add the mangoes and add all the ingredients except the onion and the curry leaves.

  3. Now add 1 cup of coconut and allow it to simmer for about 5 minutes.

  4. Then add the 2nd cup of milk into it and allow it to simmer for another 5 minutes.

  5. In a frying pan temper the onion and the curry leaves till golden brown and pour it on top of the mango curry.

  6. Mango curry is ready, it can be served hot or cold.
