This is a very aromatic tasty chicken biryani recipe which can be prepare quickly. If you wanna save your time then you can use prepared fried brown onion that you can get from markets easily and may use to cooking for biryani and qorma as well, in short time.

Ingredients

  • Chicken 1 kg (cut into 12 pieces)
  • Rice ½ kg
  • Tomatoes 2 (chopped)
  • Brown onion 1 cup
  • Yogurt 1 cup
  • Oil ¾ cup
  • All spice 1 tsp
  • Kewra water 1 tbsp
  • Saffron ¼ tsp
  • Ginger garlic paste 2 tbsp
  • Coriander leaves 3 tbsp
  • Mint leaves 3 tbsp
  • Chili powder 1 ½ tsp heaped
  • Salt 1 ½ tsp
  • Bay leaf 2–3

Cooking Directions

  1. Boil rice with salt, bay leaves and water as required till three forth done, drain and keep aside.

  2. Heat oil, add ginger garlic paste, brown onions and chopped tomatoes, fry for 5 minutes.

  3. Add yogurt with salt, chili powder and chicken, fry for 5 minutes.

  4. Cover and cook till chicken is tender, if required add 1 cup water.

  5. To Assemble the Biryani:

  6. Spread all spice on top of the chicken curry, coriander leaves, mint leaves and green chilies.

  7. Now top with boiled rice, spread with saffron and kewra mixture.

  8. Also spread brown onion, cover and simmer for 20 minutes till done.
