Ingredients

  • Carrots 1 ½ kg
  • Cardamoms 8 (small)
  • Milk powder 2 cups
  • Butter 1 cup (clarified)
  • Walnuts ½ cup (sliced)
  • Sugar 1 ½ cup
  • Almonds and pistachios to requirement

Cooking Directions

  1. Grate carrots and let them dry.

  2. In a wok, heat clarified butter and add cardamoms.

  3. When spices are fragrant, add grated carrots and stir continuously.

  4. Carrots begin to change color, add milk, sugar and walnuts.

  5. Keep stirring until clarified butter forms a separate layer.

  6. Take out halva in a platter and garnish with dry fruits before serving.
