Ingredients

  • All purpose flour 3 cups
  • Dry yeast 1 tbsp
  • Butter or oil 4 tbsp
  • Salt 1 tsp
  • Sugar 4 tsp (If you like sweeter bread then use 5 tbsp sugar)
  • Milk 1/4 cup
  • Warm water 1/4 cup
  • Food colors (red, green and yellow) as desired
  • Baking powder 1 tsp
  • Sesame seeds 1 tsp

Cooking Directions

  1. Dissolve dry yeast in warm water then add 2 tsp sugar and put aside for 5 minutes until double and foamy.

  2. Add remaining sugar, salt, oil or butter in flour and add yeast mixture too.

  3. Knead it with your palm, add milk slowly and make a soft dough.

  4. Put this dough in a warm place for an hour and let it rise.

  5. When dough rise double in quantity then divide the dough in 2 equal parts.

  6. Put one part of the dough aside as it is and and divide the other part in three equal parts.

  7. Mix red, yellow and green colors in these three parts separately.

  8. Knead well and put aside to rise.

  9. When all the portions have doubled, make a 2 inches wide round bread with white dough.

  10. Now make 3 round breads with other 3 color dough. Set these breads on top of each other.

  11. First white then red, yellow and green in last and role it.

  12. Preheat the oven to 180 degree.

  13. Grease the baking pan and put the shaped bread on it.

  14. Brush milk on shaped bread and sprinkle sesame seeds.

  15. Let it rise for half an hour.

  16. When it turn double in size then bake it in preheated oven for 20 minutes and enjoy.
