Ingredients

  • Rice flour 2 1/2 cups
  • Salt to taste
  • Water 1/2 cup
  • Sugar 1/2 tsp
  • Milk 1 cup
  • Ghee 3/4 cup
  • Yeast 1/2 tsp
  • Melon seeds 2 tsp
  • Green coriander 1 tbsp
  • Ghee for brushing

Cooking Directions

  1. Sift flour and salt together.

  2. Make a well in the flour and add water, sugar, milk, ghee, yeast, and melon seeds.

  3. Mix gradually and knead into a soft dough.

  4. Divide into 4 equal balls and keep aside for half an hour.

  5. Dust lightly and roll into 3 1/2 inch, discs, 1/4 inch thick.

  6. Sprinkle with green coriander.

  7. Put into a tandoor and bake till brown.

  8. Brush with ghee. Serve hot.

  2. I want 2 make the "taftan" in the gas oven so i wanna know the temperature and the time for baking it.However the recipe is easy but i don't have a tandoor.
