  • Soft Bread 1 pkt
  • Pine nuts 2 tbsp
  • Almonds 2 tbsp, blanched and chopped
  • Pistas 2 tbsp, chopped
  • Raisins 1 tbsp
  • Cardamom Powder 1/2 tsp
  • Cinnamon Powder 1/2 tsp
  • Milk Powder 1 1/2 cup
  • Water 1 cup
  • Rose water 1/2 tsp (combine)
  • Double fresh Cream 1 cup
  • Sugar 1 tbsp
  • Dalda banaspati for frying

Cooking Directions

  1. Cur each bread into 8 pieces.

  2. Heat Dalda Banaspati in a Wok (karhai) and deep-fry the bread on low heat four pieces at a time.

  3. When golden brown, crisp and light, spread them on an absorbent paper.

  4. Grease a large baking dish and set aside.

  5. Crush the bread into crumbs and mix with dry fruit, cinnamon and cardamom powders.

  6. Combine milk powder, water and sugar in a pan and cook for five minutes.

  7. Cool. Stir in rose water. Pour this over the bread and dry fruit mixture.

  8. When the milk is fully absorbed, add the cream and sprinkle with 1 tbsp, sugar.

  9. Bake for 10-12 minutes.

  10. When the top is golden brown, remove from oven and serve immediately.
