Ingredients

  • Sago 4 oz
  • Dried mint leaves a few
  • Potatoes 1 large
  • Small onion 1
  • Lemon juice 1 tbsp
  • Black pepper powder 1/2 tsp
  • Green chillies 2
  • Salt to taste
  • Grated coconut 2 tbsp

Cooking Directions

  1. Soak the sago with salt in 1 pint warm water for 1/2 hour.

  2. Boil, peel and mash the potato. Chop the onion and green chilies.

  3. Roast the grated coconut in a frying pan to a light brown.

  4. Drain the excess water from the sago and mix all the ingredients well together.

  5. Take a tbsp of  the mixture and shape into balls.

  6. Deep fry sagolets to a golden brown.

  7. Serve with tomato sauce.
