  • Water 1/4 pint
  • Pomegranate seeds 1 tbsp
  • Garma masala 1 tsp
  • Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
  • Diced vegetables
  • Salt to taste
  • Chilli powder 1 tsp

Cooking Directions

  1. Make batter from gram flour and water with salt to taste.

  2. Mix the turmeric, chili powder, pomegranate seeds and garam masala into the batter.

  3. Dip diced vegetables into this and fry until well browned on all sides.

  4. Any vegetable may be used (e.g. potatoes, onion and tomatoes, or, as a special delicacy, try quartered hardboiled eggs).
