The romans used to eat “Cole Slaw Salad” with their meals. The thought the salad could keep them healthy for a long time, as it helped them in digesting food.

Ingredients

  • Cabbage ¼
  • Carrot 1
  • Raisin 2 spoons
  • Walnut 2 spoons
  • Mayonnaise 2 spoons
  • Salt to taste
  • Sugar 1 tbsp

Cooking Directions

  1. Thinly chop the cabbage.

  2. Also cut a carrot into long and thin slices.

  3. Then soak 2 spoons of raisin in water to soften it.

  4. Combine the raisin in vegetables.

  5. Add powdered walnuts and mix well.

  6. Add 2 tablespoons of mayonnaise cream, salt, ground black pepper and a teaspoon of sugar.

  7. Mix all these ingredients and place in fridge to cool.

  8. Garnish with lettuce leaves and serve.

  9. Chef's Tip: Almonds can also be used in place of walnuts.
