Clean,wash chicken and cut into 2 pieces.
Heat oil in a pan, fry it till it becomes golden brown on both sides. Remove and kept aside.
Add green cardamom, black cardamom, clove in the same oil, add dry ginger powder, aniseed powder, salt, chicken pieces and saute for 2 minutes.
Add garam masala powder, tejpata to the chicken mixture. Then add salt, water and cook for 10min covering the pan.
Open the pan and cook till the gravy is thick and the chicken is well cooked.
Boil the mixture on low mixture.
Remove from fire when the gravy is thick.
