Harisa is a delicious food that is winter delicacy. Amritsari Harisa is different from other Harisa recipes because no lentil is added in it. Try out this recipe and serve hot with naan.

Ingredients

  • Wheat 250 gm (soaked overnight and boiled)
  • Beef ½ kg (boneless)
  • Onion 1 (large)
  • Chili powder 1 ½ tsp
  • Salt 1 ½ tsp
  • Green chili 1 tsp (grinded)
  • Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
  • Turmeric ¾ tsp
  • Spinach 2 cups (finely chopped, boiled and blended)
  • For Kabab:
  • Beef mince 250 gm
  • Garlic 1 tsp
  • Salt 1 tsp
  • Chili powder 1 tsp
  • Chat masala 1 tsp
  • Green chilies 2 (finely chopped)
  • Allspice ½ tsp
  • Pure clarified butter for baghar

Cooking Directions

  1. For Kabab: Put all ingredients in a chopper, chopperized well until smooth, make into very tiny long kababs.

  2. Shallow fry in frying pan keep aside.

  3. Blend soaked and boiled wheat.

  4. For Beef: Boil beef with all the given ingredients and 3 cups water, cover and cook until done.

  5. Shred beef finely, mix with blended wheat mixture.

  6. Add boiled spinach, mix well.

  7. Add fried kababs to it.

  8. Lastly give baghar with pure clarified butter.

  9. Serve hot garnished with some more kababs on top.
