Fish Cutlet is a typical Bengali style of cooking and is served as snack to the guests or on special occasions in almost every house. Enjoy this recipe as a afternoon snack with fries which would be liked by your kids as well.

Ingredients

  • Fish mince ½ kg
  • Salt to taste
  • pepper 1 tsp
  • Ginger & garlic paste 1 tbsp
  • Chopped onion 1
  • Chopped green chilies 3
  • White flour ½ cup
  • Eggs 1
  • Bread crumb 1 cup
  • Oil ½ liter
  • Potatoes ½ kg (cut in finger shape)

Cooking Directions

  1. Take fish mince, blanch it, and let it cool down.

  2. Mix salt, pepper, ginger & garlic paste, chopped onion, finely chopped green chilies, mix together all ingredients.

  3. Shape cutlet out of it.

  4. Prepare batter with white flour, pinch of salt, egg & water as needed, make a smooth paste.

  5. Dip the cutlet into the batter one by one, then fold into the bread crumb.

  6. Take wok, heat oil on medium flame.

  7. Put the cutlet into hot oil to fry one by one, let it fry till it become golden brown color.

  8. Fry potatoes.

  9. Serve cutlets with French fries.
