Ingredients

  • Baby potatoes ½ kg
  • Green chilies slit into halves 3
  • Green chilies chopped 4
  • Onion finely chopped 1 cup
  • Yogurt ½ cup
  • Oil ½ cup
  • Fennel seeds 1 tsp
  • Chili powder 1 tsp
  • Dry mango powder 1 tsp
  • Salt 1 tsp or to taste
  • Crushed garlic 1 tbsp
  • Coriander chopped 1 tbsp
  • Mustard seeds ¾ tsp
  • Fenugreek seeds ¼ tsp
  • Onion seeds ½ tsp
  • Turmeric ½ tsp
  • Cashew nut crushed 2 tbsp
  • Cumin seeds 1, ½ tsp

Cooking Directions

  1. Peel potatoes and boil till tender.

  2. Grind cashew nuts and mix with yogurt.

  3. Heat oil and add fennel seeds, mustard seeds, fenugreek seeds, onion seeds, cumin seeds, crushed garlic, chopped onion and chopped green chilies.

  4. Cook till onion turns light golden.

  5. Then add salt, chili powder and turmeric with a little water.

  6. Add boiled potatoes and cook for 5 minutes.

  7. Add cashew nut and yogurt mixture, mix.

  8. Now add dry mango powder, cover and cook for 5 minutes.

  9. Add slit green chilies and coriander leaves.
