I don't think that anybody who doesn't like shami kabab. Even shami kabab is all time favorite dish by everyone, It's always welcomed whether in lunch, dinner or with tea as snack. And when you freeze, it's hardly remain for a week in your fridge. So here is a fantastic recipe by rida Aftab with a little varitaion.

Ingredients

  • Mince Meat 250 gm
  • Gram lentil 4 tbsp (soaked)
  • Potato 1 (boiled)
  • Cumin ½ tsp
  • Fennel seeds 1 tsp
  • Whole coriander 1 tsp
  • Green cardamom 2
  • Whole red chili 6
  • Salt 1 tsp
  • Ginger 1 tsp (chopped)
  • Garlic cloves 4
  • Egg 1
  • Fresh coriander 2 tbsp
  • Mint leaves 2 tbsp
  • Green chili 2
  • All spice powder 1 tsp
  • Oil for frying

Cooking Directions

  1. In a pan, put mince, gram lentil, cumin, fennel seeds, whole coriander, green cardamom, whole red chili, salt, ginger, and garlic cloves.

  2. Boil on low flame with 2 glasses of water.

  3. When water dries and all ingredients are tender turn the flame off and allow it to cool.

  4. Add potato to the meat and turn the mixture in a food processor.

  5. Add egg, fresh coriander, mint leaves, green chilies, and all spice powder. Mix well.

  6. Shape into round flat kebabs and shallow fry in hot oil.
