Ingredients

  • Cottage cheese, cut in squares 500 g
  • Ginger / garlic, crushed 2 tsp
  • Green chillies, finely chopped 4-6
  • Spring onions, finely chopped 4
  • Chilli sauce 3 tbsp
  • Chilli garlic sauce 2 1/2 tbsp
  • Tomato ketchup 3 tbsp
  • Soya sauce 3 tbsp
  • Cornflour 3 tbsp
  • Water 1 cup
  • Oil 3 tbsp
  • Oil for deep frying
  • Salt to taste

Cooking Directions

  1. Mix cornflour with some water to make a thin paste. Heat oil.

  2. Dip pieces of cheese in cornflour and deep fry on high heat quickly, till a light golden.

  3. Remove from oil and set aside.

  4. Heat 3 tbsp oil in a saucepan and fry ginger / garlic paste and green chillies in it on medium heat about 4 minutes.

  5. Add all the sauces and salt and continue to cook for a few minutes more.

  6. Add 1/2 cup water and cook till it boils, add spring onions and the remaining cornflour to thicken the sauce.

  7. Finally add the cottage cheese, stir to coat with gravy.

  8. Serve as a side dish with chicken and rice.
