  • Flour 3-3/4 cups
  • Instant yeast 2 tbsp
  • Caster sugar 3 tbsp
  • Eggs 2 lightly beaten
  • Powder milk 4 tbsp
  • Butter melted 4 ounce
  • Warm water as required
  • Strawberry jam 1/2 cup
  • Oil for frying
  • Caster sugar 1/2 cup extra

Cooking Directions

  1. Mix flour, instant yeast, caster sugar, powder milk, eggs, and melted butter together.

  2. Knead them with warm water to soft dough, cover and place at warm place till it rises to its double in size.

  3. Place dough on a flat surface and knead with hand for 5 minutes till its smooth.

  4. Roll this dough to 1 cm thick and cut in round shape with 2 inches cutter.

  5. Divide in to two equal portions and spread a tsp of strawberry jam on one of the portion.

  6. Place other part over it and press corners with fingers.

  7. Place them on greased oven proof tray, cover and leave for 20 minutes until smooth and doubled in size.

  8. Press edges again if needed and deep fry in hot oil till golden brown.

  9. Drain on paper and tossed in extra caster sugar.
