  • Mix fruit 500 gm (chopped)
  • (Dates, Raisins, Figs, Mix peal & Coconut)
  • Water 1 cup
  • White sugar ½ cup
  • Brown sugar ½ cup
  • Butter 125 gm
  • Soda 1 tsp
  • Plain flour 1 cup
  • Cinnamon powder ½ tsp
  • Apple juice 2 tbsp

Cooking Directions

  1. In a saucepan add the mixed fruits, dates, raisins, water, white sugar, brown sugar and butter.

  2. Heat the mixture until the butter melts and comes to a boil.

  3. Reduce the heat to a simmer uncovered for 8 minutes.

  4. Add the soda. Turn the flame off.

  5. Add the eggs plain flour, cinnamon powder and apple juice.Mix well.

  6. For Steam:

  7. Put the pudding in a well greased aluminum steamer.

  8. Cover with a large piece of aluminum foil.

  9. Place the lid firmly on the steamer and boil for 5 hours.

  10. Top the boiling water up from time to time.

  11. Allow the pudding to cool.

  12. You can refrigerate the pudding for up to 6 weeks.
