Pakora is a must snack of every iftar during the holy month of Ramadan. For Sabut Pyaz Pakora, onions are cut in four pieces, stuffed with seasoning, coated and deep fried.

Ingredients

  • Small fresh onions 6
  • Chilli powder 1 tsp
  • Coriander powder 1 tsp
  • Ground pomegranate seeds 1 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for frying
  • Gram flour a little

Cooking Directions

  1. Mix all the dry ingredients together.

  2. Peel the skin of the onions and slit the onions into four pieces from the top but leave them unbroken at the bottom.

  3. Fill the onions with dry ingredients.

  4. Mix gram flour with a little water to form a thick paste.

  5. Season with salt. Coat the stuffed onions with this, and deep fry on medium flame till evenly browned on all sides.
