Ingredients

  • Atta 1 cup
  • Pounded rice 1 cup
  • Semolina and gram flour 1/2 cup each
  • Ground ginger 1/2 tsp
  • Tur dal 1/2 kg
  • Green chillies 5
  • Cloves of garlic 6
  • Jaggery 1/2 cup
  • Salt to taste
  • Asafoetida a pinch
  • Oil as needed

Cooking Directions

  1. Boil tur dal. Boil three cups of water and add the above masalas. Add 2 tbsps. oil.

  2. Mix all the flours together in this water.

  3. Add dal. Beat well to form a smooth batter.

  4. Check seasoning. Now steam this batter or

  5. boil it on a low flame till cooked.

  6. Form small long rolls and deep fry in hot oil.
