Arvi moti is a kind of snack balls, prepared with boiled, mashed arvi and potatoes with spices. These arvi balls are coated by gram flour batter and then deep fried. You can enjoy this tasty snack in tea time or ramadan with ketchup or any dip.

  • Colocasia 250 gm (boiled)
  • Potato 2 (boiled)
  • Coriander leaves 1 – 1 ½ tbsp
  • Mint leaves 1 tbsp (chopped)
  • Green chili 2 – 3
  • Onion 1 (chopped)
  • Ginger paste 1 tsp
  • Red pepper 1 tsp (crushed)
  • Cumin seeds 1 tsp (crushed)
  • Coconut powder 1 tbsp
  • Mustard seeds 1 tsp
  • Gram flour ½ cup
  • Salt to taste
  • Water ¼ cup
  • Oil for fry

Cooking Directions

  1. Mash colocasia and potatoes very well.

  2. Add in coriander leaves, mint leaves, green chiies and onion. Mix well.

  3. Now add ginger paste, red pepper, cumin seeds, coconut powder and mustard seeds.

  4. Mix well and keep aside.

  5. In a bowl mix together gram flour, salt and a little water, form into batter and keep aside.

  6. Now take potatoes mixture and form into small balls, dip each ball in gram flour batter and deep fry till golden brown.

  7. Remove from oil and serve with any sauce.
