So i wana know the basic secret that keeps the puri crispy as well as soft after cooking... like the one we eat in Pakistan and they remain velvety soft and dont tend to break at all....

  10. Shamaila, you can use baking soda instead of self raising flour in this recipe. But make sure you balance it with quantity of flour.

  14. Hi where did the sugar go? i think you forgot to mention the sugar. And in the ingrediant its written oil for frying and in the procedure no.1 you have mentioned oil too, but doesn't say how much. please clarify. And please make sure you have names in urdu as well, as many people get confused between plain flour, wheat flour and self raising flour. thanx.

  17. I like this recipe very much. I have tried it successfully many a times. Keep in mind that swelling up of Puri like a ball depends on the FRESHNESS of self-rising flour.
