Meringue with Mango Sauce - You are going to fall in love with this sweet, crispy and very mango recipe. Baked meringues are topped with freshly prepared mango sauce and whipped cream.

  • For Meringue:
  • Egg whites 2
  • Icing sugar 1/2 cup
  • White vinegar 1 tsp
  • For Sauce:
  • Mango puree of 1 large mango
  • Sugar 4 tbsp
  • Lemon juice 1 tsp
  • Corn flour 1 tsp
  • For Garnish:
  • Whipped cream as required
  • Mango slices as you like it

Cooking Directions

  1. For Meringue: Place egg whites in a bowl with vinegar and beat till it becomes foamy.

  2. Now add sugar one tablespoon at a time and beat till it becomes stiff.

  3. Place butter paper on a baking dish and put the mixture into piping bag with star nozle and pipe it onto the baking sheet into round about 10 cm and swirl around make it look like a nest. (makes about five).

  4. Now put it into the oven and bake it for 30 min or untill crisp.

  5. For Sauce: Put mango puree, sugar and lemon juice in a pan, cook for 5 minutes.

  6. Now dilute corn flour with 12 tablespoon water and mix it.

  7. Add this to mixture and cook till it thickens.

  8. Put in refrigerator to cool till the meringues are ready.

  9. When meringues get crisp take them out of oven and let them cool.

  10. Just before serving pour the sauce into each meringue.

  11. Garnish with mango slices and whipped cream, serve immediately.
